Natural Ways To Fight Cancer

Ways to Fight CancerChemotherapy, surgery, and radiation is what commonly suggested by doctors to treat cancer. People will spent a lot of money doing this recommendation. What they don’t know is that there are still natural ways to fight cancer. These ways can stop or even reverse the spread of cancer.

One way to fight cancer naturally is by removing excess sugar from your diet. High blood sugar levels support the growth of cancer because the malignant cells get almost all of their nourishment from sugar. If blood glucose levels are elevated, cancer growth will be accelerated.

According to Patrick and Noreen Quillin in Beating Cancer With Nutrition (2001), Cancer cells mainly feed on glucose with lactic acid as an anaerobic by-product. This causes fatigue (from lactic acid build-up), a low pH and an enlarged liver. It takes energy away from the rest of the body which is “why 40% of cancer patients die of malnutrition or cachexia.”

An overload of sugar also decreases the effectiveness of the immune system which plays a significant part in fighting off viruses and diseases such as cancer.

Another way to help your body fight cancer is by helping it to eliminate waste effectively. According to Ruth Sackman in Options in the Fight Against Cancer-Rethinking Cancer, waste is briefly stored in the cells and lymphatics and if it is not eliminated in a timely matter, it will keep recirculating in the bloodstream as the body attempts to get rid of it.

Toxins that build up in the body can come from drugs or chemical by-products, dead cells, cell and bacterial waste, improperly digested foods, or waste that moves too slowly through the colon.

Toxins accumulate in the body from a variety of sources. The point is that unless they are dealt with, they can overwhelm the body. When the body is using much of its energy to cope with the stress of built up waste, it is no longer able to function properly and fight off diseases such as cancer.

Another way to fight cancer naturally is by simply eating the right foods. According to Patrick and Noreen Quillin, researchers have spent 30 years and $45 billion tax dollars trying to find a cure for cancer while the answer is found right under our noses.

For example the ellagic acid that is found in berries causes “suicide” in cancer cells. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage contain a substance that kills cancer. Foods such as black-eyed peas, sunflower seeds, and great northern beans are good sources of folate which protect against DNA mutations. Tomatoes contain lycopenes which help suppress the growth of cancer cells.

The catechins found in green tea have been shown to prevent or slow down the development of various types of cancer. Small amounts of catechins are also found in foods such as red grapes, cocoa, and black tea.

Don’t assume that the only way to get healed of cancer is by doing what your doctor recommends. Do your own research and find out what your options are. You may decide to follow your doctor’s advice while also doing those things that help your body heal itself.
